oops, that wasn't vegan

Depending on what part of the world you live, it can prove challenging af to find some dank vegan grub. Culture and experiences shape the constructs we use to describe the world around us as we interact with each other. So the meanings of the words used to describe certain foods may vary as depicted above.

As a vegan, you’re likely more inclined to question the contents of your food (as you should), but sometimes it isn’t always possible to know for sure. When faced with a potentially sketch foodsource, be sure to ask if it contains dairy or explicitly list out the bad; milk, eggs, butter, honey, or animal products.

If there’s absolutely no option available to you that you can learn more about, you should still eat, unless you have a food allergy. This type of scenario came up for me a few times as friends were learning to adjust to the new lifestyle. Food from friends, especially #freefoodfromfriends, is better consumed than wasted.

Consuming plants has much more positive impacts than non-vegan foods, though the practice of cleaning your plate could have just as significant of an effect. Join the movement and pledge to clean your plate after each meal (giveaways)!
