august sketchbook

my august sketchbook was inspired by a surrealist art class i took over the summer. i played with a lot of different mediums, especially collage. i've always been really into collaging, but usually collage directly onto the walls of my room. this was my first time filling a journal with materials like this, and some of the primary themes/concepts i decided to play with were sexuality, addiction, and the systemic violence embedded heavily in the american political and cultural climate.
